• Notes: At the age of seventeen, Raymond Carl joined the Navy. He served two tours of duty in Vietnam. In 1973, Ray got his Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology from Eastern New Mexico University in Portales, New Mexico. He received his MA degree in Psychology in 1974. While he was attending college, Ray met a fellow student named Paula Jane Franklin. On August 11, 1972, Ray and Paula were married in Clovis, New Mexico. Paula received her Bachelors of Science degree in Elementary Education in 1972.
