• Notes: The following is taken from a family history written by Wilma Martin Longshore: "Wilma Martin and Tom Longshore met in a cotton patch pulling bolls in a neighbors field, so this would mean hard work and it was, but we did not mind for we were both raised on a farm and it was not so hard work when you had someone by your side who would in later years be partners for life..." Wilma and Tom were married in the middle of the street in Post, Texas. Five children were born to this union.
