According to "Churchmans of Kentucky" by Charles R. Churchman written in 1988, "Evelyn was a saleslady at Selman's, an exclusive ladies apparel store downtown, and also was a saleslady in Virginia. When they married, Lacy was in the service, and Evelyn lived in Japan three years, starting in 1950. When Lacy retired from the Army, they went to live in Virginia, Lacy's home area. Lacy worked for the post office. Since his retirement from there, he works part-time for the post office cred
