According to Stephie Bone, Beauforte married when he was young. His wife had a baby that he claimed was not his child. They separated and later divorced. When Beauforte married Lillie, it was the second marriage for both of them. Lillie's first husband had died. Beauforte and Lillie had no children.
On June 21, 1917, Beauforte entered the Armed Forces at Fort Worth, Texas and served in Battery C - Third Field Artillery at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. He was discharged at Camp Pike, Arkansas on July 1, 1919. At the time of his death he was serving his second term as Commander of Sullivan County Barracks, #1069, Veterans of World War I. He was very active in veterans organizations.
As a young man, Beauforte united with the Church of Christ in Texas where his membership remained until his death. On September 23, 1946, he became a member of Seaman Lodge #126, A.F. & A.M. and served as master of his Lodge in 1957. Being a firm believer in the Supreme Architect, he was active in promoting the principles of Free Masonry. He was a kind and loving husband and a good neighbor.
