Except for four or five years of residence in Missouri, William and his family lived in Kansas, mostly in Greenwood County, in the vicinity of Eureka.
William was a ranch-hand on the Hendrickson farm for years. In November, 1933, William became an invalid. He confessed his faith in Christ and united with the Presbyterian Church of Reece, Kansas.
He had a keen sense of humor and many funny stories that will be enjoyed by others because he passed them on.
