• Notes: Lucy married twice. Her first husband was James Bird Herd who died in January 29, 1914 of tuberculosis. According to the Webb City Register (February 1, 1914), James' three sons, John, Fred, and A. M. C. Herd were involved in an accident on the Kansas City Southern railroad near Saginaw while they were in route to be with their father. John and Fred were injured and taken to St. John Hospital in Joplin. A. M. C. was able to continue on his journey to the bedside of his father, arriving there shortly before his death.
  
  Lucy's second husband was James M. Turner. This was James Turner's second marriage also. He was married to Josephine C. Trout (Lucy's sister) until she died October 13, 1925. He married Lucy within a year after Josephine died.
