- Notes:
George was a guard at the Boy's Correctional School, which was located about where the University of Louisville is now. George was a jolly, easy to get along with sort of man who loved kids, and so was well suited for the job.
George inherited a plot of ground from his father on Taylor Blvd. about where Lynhurst Evangelical Church is on Brookline. He was living there when Martha was born, and moved to near where U of L is in 1893. He went to work on the streetcars. Nellie was born there, and he was living there when Nellie died in 1898. The house on Taylor later burned.
George and Matt were divorced, and George and Lottie moved to Montana for a few years. When they came back in the early 1930's, work was in short supply so Lottie made fried pies and George peddled them at plant gates during lunchtime. They lived at 6th and Colorado when they came back to Kentucky.
Later George and Lottie moved to Market Street about 20th Street where George was living when he died.
