Edward, like all his brothers, was a correct Surveyor following the business and teaching school. He practiced medicine to some extent (though not for renummeration). He was not a regular Physician. All of his children married except Hannah who taught school for many years. Edward's daughter, Hannah, was Principal of Boarding School in Ball in 1825. She was the author of some excellent essays in prose and verse published about 1825.
